My first novel, Away From Home, is upmarket fiction that explores the dynamics of “home” for various people and creatures. Carrie welcomes Becca into her world in eighth grade, then moves every few years for decades. Becca buys a vineyard and experiences the joys and challenges of staying rooted in one place. Their lives diverge and intersect, revealing homesickness and hospitality.
