I turned to writing from overlapping careers as a public librarian, stay-at-home mom, military spouse, and swim instructor. I earned an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in History from the University of Michigan. My writing has appeared in the Tacoma News Tribune, and my speaking at several military installations. My first novel, Away From Home, is upmarket fiction about a woman who’s rooted in place at her vineyard, while her homesick best friend moves frequently.
I love being surrounded by plants. In 2019, my life list of home addresses topped out at twenty-three. I grew up in Pittsburgh and now live with my husband and cats in central Pennsylvania. We have two grown daughters.
